About Simon A. Housman

Simon A. Housman is an attorney with 30 years experience, concentrating in Commercial Real Estate Transactions, Civil Litigation and Airport Land Use Planning.

A member of the Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission (ALUC) since 2004, serving as Chairman from 2005-2017 and now he is the ALUC Director. He has adopted and implemented airport land use Plans for 13 airports, including Palm Springs International Airport and March Air Reserve Base. Recent airport land use oversight includes solar projects, race tracks and finding consistency of the general plans of various cities.

Mr. Housman graduated from Rutgers University in New Jersey (1977) and Southwestern University School of Law of Los Angeles, CA (J.D., 1981). As a private pilot he also volunteers as a Civil Air Patrol Safety Officer.

In addition to his law office, Mr. Housman currently serves as:

  • Mediator in the Court of Appeal, State of California, Fourth District, Division Two.
  • Director, Riverside County Airport Land Use Commission.
  • County Commissioner, Riverside County Waste Management Commission.
  • Mediator, Superior Court of California, County of Riverside, Civil Mediation Panel.
  • Instructor, Export Trade Assistance Partnership (ETAP).

Serving the Coachella Valley, Rancho Mirage, Palm Desert, Palm Springs, Bermuda Dunes, Cathedral City, Indio, La Quinta, Thousand Palms, Riverside County, and the surrounding communities.
